The Charles Street Buildings Group is a property investment and development group comprising Charles Street Buildings (Leicester) Limited and 14 wholly owned subsidiaries. The Group's headquarters are at Thurmaston, Leicester where it has been based since it commenced operations in the early 1950s. The Group has grown from a construction and development business initially created to build warehousing for Murphy Bros. Limited, a civil engineering business started by Hugh and Paddy Murphy in 1945. Today the Group continues to be owned and operated by the Murphy family with over 6,000,000 square feet of property which are let on commercial terms.
