Vaughan Way, Leicester

The Group owns a prominent site at Vaughan Way in Leicester, which was formerly offices and a factory for Stibbe. The site is separated by Great Central Street from the former Leicester Central station, part of the Great Central Railway, where the group has an industrial estate built on top of the former railway viaduct. The site is situated in the historic heart of Leicester, directly opposite the Highcross Shopping Centre. All amenities in Leicester city centre are a short walk away, including the King Richard III Visitor Centre, Jewry Wall Museum as well as Leicester City's Kingpower Stadium and Welford Road, home of the Leicester Tigers.

The Vaughan Way site extends to over 1 acre, and the former station site is over 8 acres. The land has excellent excellent transport links and the site is available for development and letting on commercial terms and a design and build basis. The Group has commenced work on a masterplan for large scale office, hotel and leisure development across the Vaughan Way and former railway sites. This project sits at the junction of the retail and cultural heart of Leicester and the Leicester Waterside Regeneration Area.

A planning application has now been submitted for the first phase of development to include two hotels and an office block on the Stibbe site, renovation of the former Leicester Central station, the creation of a large open public area and a super crossing of Vaughan Way to reunite the site with the city centre.
